One Piece

One Piece is a highly popular and long-running Japanese manga and anime series created by Eiichiro Oda. It is one of the most successful manga series of all time and has a massive global fanbase.

It follows the story of Monkey D. Luffy, a young and aspiring pirate who gains the ability to stretch his body like rubber after eating a Devil Fruit. Luffy, along with his diverse crew of pirates known as the Straw Hat Pirates, sets out on a journey across the Grand Line in search of the legendary treasure known as One Piece. The series explores themes of friendship, freedom, adventure, and the pursuit of dreams. It also addresses deeper societal and political issues as the story progresses.

There are quite a few characters, each with their one backstory and personality, such as Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Tony Tony Chopper, Nico Robin, Franky, Brook, and their ship, the Thousand Sunny. This series is one of the longest running series of all time, being as such that it hasn´t ended still, and the first issue was released in 1997. The author has said that the manga would probably end around 2024 or 2025.

The series on the other hand reached its 1000th episode in 2021 and as of 2023 there are about 1100 episodes.

However this year, a live action adaptation of the series has been brought to the big screen as a movie. it stars actors such as Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu as Zoro and Sanji as Taz Skylar. Its director is Naoyuki Itou
